Key Responsibilities:

As a Hair Stylist at Lauren Hill Hairdressing you will be responsible for offering a wide range of hair services,
such as haircuts, colouring, blow-drying, and styling. You will help clients look and feel their best by staying
up-to-date with the latest beauty trends and techniques. You’ll be reporting to the Artistic Stylist and
Director. Tasks will include:

• Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend suitable haircuts, hairstyles, and hair
  colours.
• Perform a range of hair services, including cuts, colouring, balayage, blowouts, and hair treatments.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends and use the information to expand services and attract
  clients.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all salon protocols and regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, encouraging repeat appointments and referrals.
• Manage appointments and cancellations with punctuality and efficiency. This will also involve using our
  online booking system.
• Collaborate with other salon staff to ensure clients receive the best possible service and leave satisfied
  with their experience.
• Educate clients on aftercare and home hair maintenance to promote healthy hair practices along with
  product advice and sales.
• Actively involved in the salon social media pages while coming up with innovative ideas for content.
• Supervise, train, and develop Apprentices and Junior Stylists, fostering a culture of continuous
  improvement and high performance.
• End of day salon jobs including cashing up and locking up.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colourist, or similar role in a professional salon
  environment with 2 years experience minimum with clients on the shop floor.
• Must hold an NVQ level 2 qualification.
• Proficiency with hot irons, curlers, and blow-dryers.
• A good understanding of hair treatments and chemicals (e.g. keratin smoothing treatments).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Strong creative skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to continue learning and improving skills.

Hours:
· Part-time, with the possibility of future progression into a permanent position.
· Fixed Part time hours with some flexibility required

Part time hours:

Tuesday 10-8pm
Wednesday 9-5pm
Friday 9-5pm
Every other Saturday 9-4pm
